The Recruiting Fog Reducer

Turn a training session into a scout report a college coach reads in 90 seconds.

Objective wearable-captured performance data, translated into a coach-facing artifact that puts recruiting evidence in the athlete's own hands. A subscription product line for the 6th-12th grade recruiting stack, powered by PlayerData, operated by TOJ.

What performance data + AI framing does to a coach's evaluation load. That's the wedge.

Wearables sell to teams. Nobody sells to recruits.

Every GPS wearable vendor — PlayerData, Catapult, STATSports — sells the same way. Team packs. Coach dashboards. Case studies named "how [university] uses GPS data." Their marketing speaks to head coaches and performance staff.

Nobody sells an individual-athlete subscription with recruiting as the payoff. Nobody generates a scout-facing report designed to compress a college coach's evaluation into 90 seconds. Nobody packages event-day coverage as a service the athlete signs up for, not the operator.

That gap is where performance-os lives. PlayerData supplies the data. TOJ supplies the meaning.

2026-07-26 · Ethan Barr · 8 athletes covered

A single 142-minute WR training session produced enough differentiation to prove the product shape. Full writeup — including all eight athlete profiles — lives in the repo under pilot/2026-07-26-ethan-barr-demo/.

Athlete A — burst profile

Top speed 17.2 mph at 87.6% of measured max. The only athlete in the cohort to log a true sprint. Low volume (0.52 mi), concentrated intensity (63 HIR yds, 5 HI events). When this athlete moved, moved with intent.

Athlete B — conditioning profile

1.82 mi covered, session load 122, 100 yds MIR — the highest volume + highest total accel load in the cohort. Different athlete type entirely. Both legitimate scout signals; question is which one fits your scheme.

Athlete C — balanced route-runner

53 HIR yds (27% of team total), 25 accels / 23 decels — a 1.09 ratio characteristic of comeback / hitch / stack-release patterns. Anchor of the cohort's high-intensity output. Preview one-pager live here →

The Kamari zero-out

One unit zero'd across every metric — fit / activation / satellite lock failure, root cause unclear. Turned into the founding case for the fit-check + mid-session health-ping protocol. Operational reliability is a product feature, not an afterthought.

The Sample Report

See what a college coach actually receives — the 90-second-consumable format, shown with a fictional sample athlete and representative figures. Preview only (marked as such — the template's sample-size honesty rule requires 3+ sessions before a real scout-grade read).

Three integrations. One recruiting arc.

performance-os is designed to bolt into the Hooks + Pylon operating brain, not stand alone. The wearable is the input. Hooks is the methodology. Pylon is the event ops. The subscription is the recurring revenue.

× Hooks

Prospect Edge grades gain a "Measured Performance Snapshot" pulled from monthly reports. Player Profile becomes the shareable home for scout reports. College Directory outreach carries objective evidence in every message.

× PlayerData

PlayerData supplies the data infrastructure (EDGE Air hardware, session capture, benchmarks). TOJ owns the narrative + subscription + recruiting-outcome layer on top. Ethan Barr is the current bridge.

× Pylon

Every Pylon-covered event bolts on GPS on 20-40 athletes. Reports distributed within 24 hours. Rev share to Pylon on subscription conversions. Turns event ops into a subscription growth engine.

Six skills. Agent-runnable.

Matches the SKILL.md pattern from hooks-os. Ready to be copied into the TojCampaign agent runtime when subscription launch is real. Full specs in the repo.

Combo camps. Hooks × PlayerData × Pylon.

Multi-day camps where every athlete wears a unit every day. End-of-camp deliverable: full session-by-session data, film synced with data, grade from Margin, coach-facing scout report ready for distribution.

Pricing: $800-1,500 per athlete, capped at 40 per camp. Phase 1: four regional camps in the first year. Phase 2: national (eight camps year two). Phase 3: global via PlayerData's soccer network in the UK / EU.

One product. Three brands. One recruiting arc. The pilot proved the shape.
